Artist Statement:
My sculptures are interpretations of the cold machines we surround ourselves with in combination to the soft, aestheticized way that we curate our direct, intimate living spaces. Imagery of deconstructed industrial objects merged with gentle elements of decorated interiors create foreign, yet familiar, compositions. This is how I understand what is important and what is extraneous. In humor, I find both comfort and confrontation. Humor serves not only as a gateway to acknowledging and embracing ordinary realities and routine, but also as a way to amplify the absurdity.
