Brendan Fitzgerald was born in New Hampshire and raised in Boston and California. He graduated with a Bachelor of Music degree in classical guitar performance from McGill University in Montreal, Quebec. He produced, wrote, and edited a documentary film, The Ballad of Esequiel Hernández, narrated by Tommy Lee Jones, which won several awards at international film festivals and was nominated for a 2009 News & Documentary Emmy. He worked on the set of various feature films, including The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada and In the Electric Mist. He is currently finishing a book of poetry and lives in New Hampshire and New York City.
